The Veterans War Memorial Monument of Cumming, Georgia has not only met
expectations but far exceeded them This has truly become the patriotism center
for our community due primarily to the vision and skill of Mr. Gregory
Johnson. It was a pleasure and honor to work with Mr. Johnson. His creative
artistic ability is surpassed only by his integrity and kindness. Linda W.
Heard, Chairperson, Veterans War Memorial Committee, City of Cumming, 100 Main
Street, Cumming Georgia. 30040, 770-781-2010.
REGARDING THE GENERAL JAMES LONGSTREET MEMORIAL
Gregory carefully researched his subject so that he could get an accurate
likenessthe work was so very accurate and yet we had few suggestions. They were
kindly received by Gregory and incorporated in the sculpture. Gregory is
delightful to work with and a man of his word. He pays attention to detail and
follows through every step of the project... Our finished product is spectacular
and has been well received by the entire community. Jeane M. Parker, lead
architect of the General James Longstreet Memorial Sculpture, 3192 Overlook
Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
